Growing up on the sun-kissed shores of Jamaica, I found my first love in soccer, chasing dreams across grassy fields with boundless energy. Those early years shaped my athletic spirit, but life had bigger plans ahead. At sixteen, I packed my bags, along with my twin brother, and boarded a plane to the United States. Not knowing my future, I was determined to take advantage of promising educational and athletic opportunities.
The transition wasn't easy. Trading familiar Caribbean breezes for American seasons, I had to adapt to more than just climate change. But the track became my sanctuary. Early morning workouts, despite the weather, the rush of wind, and the pure thrill of competition spoke a universal language I understood perfectly.
Now, as a NATFL professional track athlete, I've transformed those childhood games into a career. From humble beginnings playing soccer in my hometown to competing in stadiums across America, my journey reminds me daily that dreams don't recognize borders – they just need the courage to chase them. Let's level our dreams together.
