Ever since I can remember, I've always been fast. I was the kid who would race others during recess, and more often than not, I would win. This fascination with speed led me to try out for my 6th-grade track team. I still remember the nervousness I felt, the anticipation. But when I made it, it was a feeling of pure joy and accomplishment. That was the moment I knew that track and field was more than just a hobby for me, it was a passion.

The journey wasn't always a smooth one. But I persisted, always pushing myself. This determination paid off in high school when I clinched the state championships in both the long jump and the triple jump. Those victories felt unreal and served as concrete evidence that hard work and commitment can yield extraordinary results. And the best part? They earned me a scholarship.

Now, as I prepare to start this new chapter in my life, I look back on my journey with gratitude. Gratitude for the valuable lessons learned, the friendships forged, and the opportunities that came my way. Watch me compete again as a Detroit Turbine.
